Office 2010 Technical Preview in July 2009 Microsoft_office_2010
In addition to learning that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will be ready by the end of this year, TechEd 2009 attendees have also been automatically placed in the invitation-only Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview program, which will be available in July 2009. If you're interested in testing the next release of Office, you can register for the program as well, over at the Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview Registration page. One of the ways that Microsoft is promoting Office 2010 is via a Office 2010 The Movie webpage, which features a rather uninformative trailer (Silverlight required). There's even a TechNet blog apparently set up by the cast.

If you don't get into the Technical Preview, don't worry; the public preview of Office 2010 is slated to arrive "this coming summer." Microsoft is making sure that Office 2010 will be available via a familiar experience across the PC, phone, and browser. Office 2010 is the first release of the productivity suite that will come in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors.
