Hey,

Just thought I'd ask while I have the chance to. Where did you guys learn so much about computers?? I want to be able to do these things and help other people but I don't know enough to do so.

Is there anywhere online I can learn useful stuff??

Thanks,
Jaron

Depends what department of computing you'd like to work in.
Doc/Aurarange do better in hardware/software troubleshooting, where me and Origin do best in malware removal.

There are a number of online training schools that can teach you stuff like this, but depends what area you think you'd do better in.

Well I think I'd do good at both. Where can I find the online schools to learn about malware removal??

GeekToGo (G2G) offer training, see here:

I think Doc might be able to get you the info for MRU if he can, I think MRU offer limited amount of students.

For the more technical areas (OS, software hardware), I'd say you need experience. Roam around GeekPolice or other tech forums and see the troubleshooting methods or solution different people use.

And a good place to start, by getting the basics and foundation right will be here: http://training.techrepublic.com.com/ There are lots of tech resources, tutorials etc. If I'm not wrong, Tech Republic is the biggest online tech community with over 1 million members.

Here's the link for MRU:

Thanks to both of you. I'd really like to get involved and help others the way you guys do. Thank You!

..... My application at both of those sites were "respectfully rejected"

Any other ideas??

They probably have more students than they can handle, maybe you can try again next time.

Oh Ok I see.... I googled Malware Removal Traning.

http://spywarewarrior.com/viewtopic.php?t=3624

I got this link. Is this how you read HijackThis logs? And can I help others using this information or should I receive proper training before trying anything?

Yes, that only teaches you how to analyse and fix things found in HijackThis logs, but doesn't give you the knowledge on how to remove other malware. And to help out, you need to receive proper training.
