Here it is again without word wrap.

My ison was on PhoneZoo last night and I obviously got infected with something. I did a virus scan through AVG and it said it was fixed, but it's not. Please help....in tears over this. Never got one before, so I am very nervous and worried.

According to AVG the 3 infections are in files below:

2 of them say c:\Windows\ld08\.exe
1 of them says C:\WINDOWS\ld08.exe (2104)

The infecion name is Trojan Horose SHeur2.AEOF

I am getting 3 constant pop up boxes.

One of the boxes pops up saying:

Infiltration Alert
Your computer is being attacked by an Internet Virus. It could be a password-stealing attack, a trojan -dropper or similar.
Details: Attack from: 93.122.35.232, port 44396
Attacked Port: 52816
Threat Win32/Nuquel.E

The above numbers are always changing and the threat is also coming up Banker.Fox.A.

I also get another box asking me if I want to subscribe to Antivirus System Pro.
Yet another box pops up saying:
Windows Security Alert
Windows reports that computer is infected. Antivirus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan you computer. Your system might be at risk now.

Here is the results of the Hijak this:

Hello.

I see you have Viewpoint software installed.

Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". Read this article: here and here

I suggest you remove the program now.

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.

  • Viewpoint Manager (remove only)
  • Viewpoint Media Player
  • Viewpoint Toolbar

Next, I need to know if you have Internet internet. ld08.exe is part of an infection called Koobface, an infection that spreads through Facebook/myspace. It sets a proxy in your internet settings to block internet access so you can't get online to get help.
There is a line in Hijack This that comes with Koobface, but don't see any other signs of the infection. If I ask you to kill that line, you could lose internet access if you have it currently, so I need to knwo.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - (no file)

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.
