reverse text

Hi! I'm having a hard time doing something in photoshop. If you can see in that banner above, there's a "Test Site name" on it and there's a shadow underneath it. How can I make something like that inverse shadow?

Are you referring to the reflection? If so, follow these steps:

1. Duplicate your text.
2. Flip your text by ctrl+t > "flip vertically", and place it in place.
3. Add a mask by clicking on the square with the circle in it on the layers panel.
4. Select your gradient tool in black and white. Drag from the top to bottom or otherwise.
5. Decrease you layer opacity to your desired amount.
