Study: Facebook users get lower grades in college

A new study released by Ohio State University shows that college students who use Facebook spend less time studying and have lower grades than students who don't use the popular social networking site. But don't count on the Facebook users admitting the problem. The university report noted that 79% of them said that using the social networking site was not interfering with their studies.

I am amazed at what a social networking programming can do. I probably never should have helped a little with FaceBook. Oh well.

How did you help with Facebook?


Also, I think some people are way too intense with the Facebook scene. I have a 50-year-old aunt who has like 100 applications and spends countless hours on Facebook a day.
Being a college student, I don't find Facebook that appealing unless I need to contact someone. I can't really see it effecting my grades. =P

I do, but I spend less than 30 seconds on it a day. I simply log on to check the GeekPolice profile there and see how many group members we got.

Same here... I keep asking myself: "How on earth do people spend hours on Facebook?". I can barely even spend 10 minutes there.
