The motherboard may take a while to recognise the RAM after startup. After using the computer for a few minutes, does this still happen?

yup, i tried wat you suggested but this still happens T_T!, wat should i do?

here are the rams i bought
http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-2-X-1GB-PC2700-333-DDR-PC-2GB-2700-2100-MEMORY-RAM_W0QQitemZ270346405459QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item270346405459&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234

and here is my crucial scan

offer any opinions? is it the ram that isnt working or human error?

oh i would like to add a bit more information, my pc is a 32 bit version and the ram's data bus is 64 bit, is that the cause for the ram issue or am i just looking too much into that?

additionally i have tried variously methods of inserting the DIMM:
1. dual channel (white,black,white,black--128mb-1gb-128mb-1gb)vice versa*
2. inserting 1 gb ram card at a time
3. taking out my 2x128 and inserting 2x1gb ( heard a long beep sound, no boot up)
in short, i have tried every single combination and none of em have worked !

The link shows that you bought High Density Ram. most of the desktops won't run on High density RAM it is made more for servers, you need Low Density.

There is no way you can configure it, I'm afraid you have to send it back.
