The latest build (10a261) of Mac OS X “10.6″ Snow Leopard was released towards the start of February, much like many of the previous builds it contained very little user interface changes compared to Mac OS X “10.5″ Leopard. For this reason World of Apple has refrained from offering detailed views of builds.Snow Leopard was announced very briefly at WWDC 2008 by Steve Jobs, the public received very little information while developers were given a more detailed brief and given the first build for testing. As mentioned Snow Leopard was from the start billed as an under the hood upgrade, significantly improving performance and reducing the OSes footprint. So far the developer builds have added very few new visible user features.Notably missing from Snow Leopard so far is the rumoured QuickLook Finder icons that AppleInsider wrote about just after Apple’s announcement of Snow Leopard last year. Also based on current progress it is very unlikely that Snow Leopard will ship during Q1 2009.
