phpbb hacked

Anyone using a phpbb forum is strongly advised to change any passwords immediately, full story here:

Some hacker broken into phpbb's database and had over 400,000 emails and passwords, so any passwords used on this forum that is the same for others, change them right now.

The hacker shouldn't be able to cause any damage right now, the base of phpbb's database if offline and any attempts to login to a phpbb forum is impossible, so heed this warning.

Note:
Change any passwords that are not on phpbb, any change on phpbb will remain at risk due to the hacker probably taking another shot at them.

What happened to the hacker?

Nothing so far, but if he knows what he's doing, I doubt they'll find him.

Hmm... I think that only applies to sites hosted on phpbb. So we're safe. According to phpbb's website, they say that it affects only phpbb and related sites.

He is one smart guy accept for the fact that like most hackers or writers of Malicious code, they find it hard to shut up about it.

Don't stress guy's...I would say its been patched already!
