PROBLEM WITH GAME SERVERS

I have a game called battlefield 1942. I had a problem. The servers i create wont appear in the internet server list. Then i opened some ports in my router. But still it wont appear in my server list. But then i typed my server name in the filter section. And then clicked add server and entered 192.168.1.2 as my ip and 14567 as port and clicked ok. Then my server appeared.
But the problem is it wont appear in the server list???????????

Every person doesnt kno my ip and port so what should i do to make it appear in the Internet server list????????

Running a game server behind a router is fairly straight forward but i need to know more about your network setup otherwise im only guessing. (Physical and Logical topology specifics).

I will assume your using a single router (single instance of NAT) and your LAN is wireless.

The basic method behind running a server that can be seen from the public side of your router, is you need to open up ports on the router, and forward those to an internal LAN IP address on your network which is what you have attempted to do, however, there are other setup configurations that need to be taken into account.
