Yesterday i opened my control panel

Before i saw a list of all the icons a flashlight appeared

It stayed on for about 10 seconds

Does this mean i have viruses/spyware etc

Ok Thnx

On last Shut Down i got the error message

DDE Server not responding

and had to manually END NOW

What is this

Yes i Have never gotten that error again

However recently my Avast Home Edition did the weirdest thing

I was not connected to the internet (Modem was unplugged from the power)

However Avast told me that an update was available on the internet (even though i was not connected)

Also i had not connected to the internet at before unplugging the modem

that may mean that it has downloaded it, but has not applied it yet. Or, if you're running wireless, it my have leached off of neighbor.
