How to Fix Stuck Pixel?

The Pressure Method can be use to try repair stuck pixel.

1. Turn “On” the LCD Monitor and display a black image so that you can clearly locate where the stuck pixel is.

2. Use a damp washcloth and fold the washcloth around your finger so that when pressure is applied, you won’t scratch the screen.

3. Gently apply little pressure (massaging) on only the stuck pixel area otherwise you may create more stuck pixels. While still applying pressure you can turn the screen off and back “On” again for several times

4. Continue to apply the pressure on the stuck pixel until it totally gone (sometimes the stuck pixel may appeared again so you have to do it few more rounds).

5. If the stuck pixel is still there even after you have used the pressure method then I guess you have to use the software method.

Stuck pixels can often be re-energized by rapidly turning them on and off. There are screensavers available for download that will do this to your LCD screen.

Normally customers will accept it as one or two stuck pixels won’t really affect them. If the LCD Monitor is under warranty then you have to inform your supplier about this but usually the supplier only will replace if there are more than 10 stuck or dead pixels in the LCD screen!
