Here's How:

1. Press Windows + I keys to open Settings app.

2. From Settings app, click Personalization > Start.

3. There, turn Off the switch for Show app list in Start Menu.

You must get rid of the second column of tiles (and the third column, if you have one).

To do that, open your Start Menu and then resize it. Hover your mouse cursor on the right edge of the Start Menu and then drag it to the left.

This action shrinks the Start Menu and moves all the tiles from the second column (and third column if you have one) on the bottom of the first column of tiles. You should now have a Start Menu that looks like this:
