How to Set Processor Affinity for Specific Applications
Changing a process’s affinity means that you limit the application to only run on certain logical processors, which can come in terribly handy if you have an application that is hogging all the CPU. Here’s how to choose the processor for a running application.

Setting processor affinity is very easy and can be done from the Task Manager:

1. Start the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys.

2. Now go to the Applications tab, right-click the application you want to assign to a different processor and select Go to Process. In Windows 8 and later versions of Windows OS, click Processes tab, right-click the application you want to assign to a different processor and select Go to details.
