I couldn't help but notice that you only have 6.68 Gb of free space on your C drive. Windows requires at least 15% ( 65 Gb) of free space to operate efficiently. You should try to free up some space otherwise your computer won't boot.

Please download the following batch file and save it to your desktop: HostsPerm.bat Download Link

When the file has finished downloading, double-click on the HostsPerm.bat file that is now on your desktop. If Windows asks if you if you are sure you want to run it, please allow it to run. Once it starts you will see a small black window that opens and then quickly goes away. This is normal and is nothing to be worried about.

Reset Hosts File:

* Go to Start > Run and type Notepad.exe then click OK
* Copy and Paste everything from the Code Box below into Notepad:

Code:

@Echo off
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1  localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
del %0

* Go to File > Save As
* Save File name as Reset.bat
* Change Save as Type to All Files and save the file to your desktop.

On the desktop double click the Reset.bat to run the batch file. It will self-delete when completed.

Okay, I've done all that. Now what?

I also deleted a ton of videos so there's 115GB free now.

Any change?

descriptionRe: Internet browsers and internet refusing to work, think its a hardware problem?

more_horiz
Nope Sad tearing Still working fine in safe mode but not in normal.

Did you reset you hosts file?

descriptionRe: Internet browsers and internet refusing to work, think its a hardware problem?

more_horiz
Yeah... I did everything you said to do.  It seemed to work, it self-deleted and everything.

Edit: Although, I did all that in safe mode. Should I have done it normal mode? I can re-download the file in safe mode and then switch over to normal to actually run it

descriptionRe: Internet browsers and internet refusing to work, think its a hardware problem?

more_horiz
Please try it on Normal Mode.

descriptionRe: Internet browsers and internet refusing to work, think its a hardware problem?

more_horiz
Okay, tried it in normal and its still not working. I restarted the computer and tried to see if that helped but nope. Still not working in normal.

Well, the host files appear to have been reset but the log shows this: Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter = Wireless Network Connection (Connected)
Was the laptop working well before this event?

Yeah, Its always worked really well, I've never had issues like this at all. What does that broadcom message mean?

It means you're connected. What kind of message do you get when you try your browser?

descriptionRe: Internet browsers and internet refusing to work, think its a hardware problem?

This is what Chrome has:

Just replace "www.google.ca" with whatever other site because they all have the exact same error.

In IE 64 bit, it just has a "Cannot display this page" error with no specific details. Firefox was constantly crashing upon trying to run the browser, doing that "Firefox has encountered an error" thing, and wouldn't even open a browser window. I uninstalled FF a few days ago, thinking that maybe it was causing the error, but nope.
