ActivityMonitoring software

It seems like ever since I downloaded FireFox as my browser in to my Dell with XP. I keep getting a window that say's it can't check ID of it. I keep selecting don't download. But it show's up many times a day. Why is it trying to download it into my pc, I never asked for it, and I don't think I want it in my pc. But it won't stop trying to install it. What can I do to stop it, or do I need it with FireFox?

I'm not sure I understand what is trying to download. Can you post a screeshot?

This is the window I keep getting. After I press "Stop installation" I have to wait till it goes through my drives and cancels what ever it started to install.

Plus my pc now takes for ever to do anything again. That is why I downloaded Firefox, and it worked great, now it's back to the same "Not responding" and very slow. I do not know if they are related.

I can't seem to be able to post the picture I have of it. I tried using "Host an image". It hosts it, but it doesn't upload it. I have resized it to 800, and down to 640, but no go.
