making a system repair disc

I have a computer without any way to recover it ,no disc came with it , I noticed it has a program to make a system repair disc, with a DVD or a CD R/W type . it also has a choice to restore to last know good behavior,  should I make a system repair disc or just turn on the last good know recovery? HP DC5800 desk top, windows 7 IE 11

Make a repair disk and keep it somewhere safe.

Thank you will a regular CD 700 MB Have enough space to perform this

If there's not enough room, you will receive a warning that the disk is too small.

As an alternative you could use Acronis True Image.

The trial version will give you time enough to create a 'set' of discs that can be used to restore a system from.. If 700MB Cd's are used it will ask for multiple discs if required so make sure you have several available before you start.

thank you I had read that it only take about 200 MB

The size of the recovery disc will depend on the size of the original hard drive and the amount of data on that drive,,
