Internet really slow coming up

When I click on internet icon on my desktop the internet screen is real real slow to open and come up. My friend tried to fix my computer for me but it still is real slow. I have all the updates, avg, firewall, malwarebytes, spywareblaster, superantispyware and adaware. What else can I do. I have 1gb ram, 40gb hardrive. Ask me what else you need to know I will ask my friend where to look to tell you. thank you for your help

Do you mean the internet explorer icon? Have you tried clearing up your disk space by using softwares like CCleaner?

I use ccleaner every time I get off internet. Did the Disk Cleanup, Defragment, updates and all those things listed in first post.

Can you try an alternative browser like Firefox and see if the same thing happens?

If this is only happening to your browser, then it might be malware, if not it's just your computer.
