my laptop is saying the exact same thing and i want to know why is has done it too is your laptop by any chance the acer aspire one AO531h ? i think acer should do something about this !!!!

How do I fix this? The computer is not booting up. It gets stuck at this message. This computer is only 4 months old. Do I have to replace the hard drive already?

Have you tried changing the boot options in the BIOS Setup? It sounds like it might be booting from the network controller by default for some reason.

yes, I moved the network controller to the last item to boot and it didn't work

Acer is saying that the hard drive needs to be replaced, could that be?

That's very possible. I'd recommend having it looked at. Only so much you can do online and sometimes better to have it physically looked at.
