Hi
My computer has been good until the other day. I'm in safemode with networking now and everything is fine, but I haven't been able to run a single program in my computer without it "not responding" if I try to do anything (ex: switching tabs in chrome, or even opening up another program). I tried to run an MBAM scan and it would stall even half way through, but it's working fine now. I thought it was a malware issue, but when I ran the OTL and adwcleaner.exe and the adwcleaner said everything was clean and I think the OTL just moved "desktop.ini" to the desktop with information about some NVIDIA driver. I can delete this and move to malware if need be. I just have no idea what's wrong, and no associated error has come up in the event viewer.
Three errors have been coming up kind of consistently:
DgiVecp service failed- The system cannot find the device specified.
atapi - The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.
and then a bunch of "windows search" timeouts.
I can post more if needed. Still in safe mode with networking, as normal mode just stalls and stalls and stalls.
thanks
os
