Hi guys,
Bit of a weird one here.
So I'm running Windows 7 on an Acer laptop. 3GB RAM. i3 processor.
The wireless card of the laptop is a Broadcom N network Adapter.
The router is a Netgear Wireless 150n router DGN1000
Basically up until recently I lived in my own apartment and I had 100MG UPC and the laptop connected fine to that, however since I moved back home, the laptop just will not connect to the router. I will Double click the network and after a second or two it will say 'Windows was unable to connect to ''. This happens even when I'm beside the router with full signal. Eventually if I keep trying to connect it will eventually connect and work fine from then on. Sometimes after maybe 30mins of trying, it won't connect at all.
I had noticed that whenever I enable to the network adapter it also enabled Microsoft Virtual Wifi miniport adapter. Even if I disable that and keep the wireless card enabled it still doesn't connect.
Something interesting to note was I was dual running Ubuntu and whenever I used that it seemed to connect fine.
There is another Acer laptop in the house with similar spec and connects fine from anywhere.
The house PC is using a USB wireless adapter and even that connects with no issues.
I've checked all settings and it seems all in order.
I'd be grateful for any advice or ideas as to what to do from here.
Thanks.
