Spilled water on keyboard/trackpad, and it stopped working.

Hey folks, I spilled a little water on keyboard and trackpad yesterday. This morning, I took it to the Apple store and the apple employee who helped me out fixed it by entering some commands in single user mode. I got to my friend's house, used my laptop for a bit and then went home. When I got home, I found that my keyboard and trackpad stopped working. I have no idea what the problem is, but I'd like to try to fix it up in single user mode as the employee did. Thanks!

Edit* I'm using a 2011 15" MBP with Lion OS

Most likely water has damaged the circuits.
Was the laptop drained and given adequate time to dry after the spill?
