Facebook Not Loading

As of yesterday Facebook is no longer loading on any of the browsers on my computer.

I did a Google search earlier and followed every suggestion given, but nothing has solved the issue.

Go to Start > Run, type in CMD and hit OK.

Enter the following command:

ipconfig /flushdns


Then, let me know if you still have the issue.

It loads, but is extremely slow and games don't always load correctly.

Try this tool and see if it helps speed some things up:

Download CCleaner Slim and save it to your Desktop - Alternate download link

When the file has been saved, go to your Desktop and double-click on ccsetupxxx_slim.exe
Follow the prompts to install the program.

* Double-click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
* Click on the Options block on the left, then choose Cookies.
* Under Cookies to Delete, highlight any cookies you would like to retain permanently
* Click the right arrow > to move them to the Cookies to Keep window.
* Go into Options > Advanced uncheck Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours
* Click Cleaner on the left then Run Cleaner on the right to run the program.
* Important: Make sure that ALL browser windows are closed before selecting Run Cleaner

Caution: Only use the Registry feature if you are very familiar with the registry.
Always back up your registry before making any changes. Exit CCleaner after it has completed it's process.

After flushing the DNS certain websites and photos are not loading correctly and load times are slightly slower.

Keep browsing for a while to see if the cache builds back up.

How is Facebook?

The only problems I've having with Facebook now are the load times and any game not associated with Zynga do not load.

Let's look for some issues here, please:

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.

Note: please close all other applications running on your system.

Double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it. It will display an agreement. Click on I Agree to continue.

Click the Settings button.



Set the slider to Maximum.



IMPORTANT! Then, click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.




On the General tab, make sure all of the boxes are checked.




On the Misc tab, make sure all the checkboxes are checked.

Then, click OK on the windows that you launched.



Click Create Report to run it.


It will begin scanning.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop.

It should automatically upload it to http://www.getsysteminfo.com. If it does not, then please submit it manually by going to the site and doing the upload process.

It will redirect to a page, where it will provide a sharing URL for specialists. Copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report in your next reply.

I'm also experiencing slow Facebook Surfing. Facebook loads after a loooooooooooong loading...Don't know if it is a Server Issue on Facebook Side. Tried all the Troubleshootings...Tried Different Browsers...Tried even Winsock Reset...Still facing the same lag.

Lets check some settings on your system:

1. Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections
   
2. Then right click on your Default Connection
   • Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL, or AOL Connection.

Left click on Properties

Double-Click on the Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) item

Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen

Restart the computer

Go to Start->Run->Type CMD and click Ok. The MSDOS Window will be displayed. At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:

ipconfig /flushdns (The space between g and / is needed)
regsvr32 netshell.dll
regsvr32 netcfgx.dll
regsvr32 netman.dll
Exit

Restart the computer.


Let me know if Facebook speeds up.

It wasn't any faster. I had to close the browser and clear the cache with CCleaner for Facebook to load.

For me its taking a long loading time (like 2mins) then it comes up and I don't have Issues once it is loaded.

I was having the same problem, tried this and now it loads. Why did that work and how can I keep from having to do that over and over?

I often use Google Chrome...I've to clear the DNS cache every 5mins to make Facebook load. Tried with Firefox and didnt faced the same...Strange...
