Hi sorry if this is not the area to post

My pc was riddled with viruses, malware etc so various tutorials later i decided to restore the system.

Long story short, after getting the restore discs from HP it still wont re-load. HP have said it is a physical issue.

So I want to get a SSD to boot from scratch.

My question is how easy is that to do?

I will be running windows 7
My motherboard is M2N68-LA
I have 4GB of ram.

Will a SSD work on my system? if so can u recommend one? price isnt too much of an issue (within) reason. If not what would i need to do or change so it did?

Thanks in advance

Anthony

I don't see why an SSD would not work on your system. Your board has SATA connections that will work with SSD drives.

Just install the SSD instead of a conventional hard drive.

Ive been told that the Bios has to be changed to ACHI but my but this cannot be done with my board.

Also whats the difference between SATA and eSATA?
