Is there any software out there that I can chance the format so that I can play it on my DVD player? What I am trying to do is make a vidieo, with music, using Windows Movie Maker and have it play on my DVD player. I have a Pioneer multi-region player. A free download would be nice but will buy if the price is right. Or is ths even possable? Let me think

You need a program that will create a playable DVD from your movie file. Windows 7 (and probably Vista) comes with Windows DVD Maker.

I think most dvd players should be able to play the avi format. Windows Live Essentials is good. I'm not sure if this is the most recent one for xp as it's no longer supported for xp. You can always check Microsoft Update with a custom update scan. Smile...

Well after a week of downloading and trying them out, it would seem that nothing works. I either get the audio or the photo's, but not togeather. I even tryed AVS Video Converter 8.1. So for now I will give it up and try something else, if it comes along. Thanks for the help. Sad tearing

There is a software for your problem and it is free for use, without any watermark on output video. I can suggest you two of them if you still looking for.

Hi!
The software that I have is RealPlayer. You can convert file formats, listen and watch various movies in different formats, and download Youtube videos. It is safe and I have had no issues with it for a couple years. However, when downloading it, it asks you to download a weather app; you will need to uncheck the box that says download. I give it 5 stars.

I have had realplayer in the past, but never used it for convertions. I'll check it out and you are right, it does come with a lot of other stuff you don't need
