I have a Toshiba Satellite L455-S5975 laptop that I have replaced the hard drive on. I have the recovery discs from Toshiba from the last time I had to replace the hard driveI am attempting to run the Toshiba Recovery utility to restore to the factory default software using the discs. It goes through disc 1 copying files and it appears to go through disc 2 as well but I eventually get an error that it is unable to copy PREINST9.SWM. I can see the file on the disc on my other PC but when I try to copy it to my flash drive, I get an error that says 'Cannot copy PREINST9: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).'.
Does this mean that the file is corrupted and I need to get another set of recovery discs or is there something else I am missing?
