First, I want to say thank you for all the time and effort you all put into this.

I've been appreciative for what you all do for free, and I have donated towards your cause... however, if you are helping someone with a serious virus problem and foresee yourself being busy or what not, say something to the person you are helping OR ask someone else to cover for you. My boyfriend whom I have referred has not received quality help in the last 3 weeks when he's asked for help. The person helping him is not being sociable or even appears to care. I understand it being strictly volunteer based but off of a business point of view, this is not a good way to earn word of mouth, get donations, or referrals.

We are in the holiday season right now so a lot of people probably are spending time with their families. With Thanksgiving on the 24th and Christmas(or whatever you celebrate) coming up a lot of us are pretty busy. Smile... This is in no way intended to be a business so can't really compare this to one. Families and other real life matters come first. Smile...

I understand the holiday season. However why I mentioned this because his post started well before Thanksgiving and only had hit or miss replies all the way to this point. At the time he did what was asked and then waited a week before another response and at that point the virus grew worse. I know you all don't guarantee anything however as a courtesy someone else should have taken over the post if the person gets busy. In the time it took for responses the virus had caused almost full failure to nothing but a black screen.

If anything, switch places with the person that you are helping. You're getting help then have to wait days (more than 2 at a time) to get help one step at a time. Say you do a step that aggravates the virus and it gets worse, 1) you'll get aggravated that the help has gone mia, and 2) the one computer that you do bills and such is out of commission which is another aggravation.

Look, I know everyone should put real life first but also remember for some people this machine is also an accessory to real life. I make this complaint/suggestion because I do appreciate everything you all do but also in a sense you all are fixing a huge necessity in people's life and how my boyfriend's post was handled was very poor. I hope you all see and consider this because it would boost your all success rate.

I see. The only topic I found that was close to one in mention was with Belahzur.

If you really need the computer fixed asap I recommend taking it to a shop and having them fix it for you. When offering a free support site for this kind of help you have to take into account that most helpers have a real job or whatever and do this during their spare time. Also compared to other sites we have less trained volunteers.
