Wireless Internet Dropping Randomly every 15-30 Minutes

Im using a Century link New wireless modem I am Running Windows Xp SP3 Intel Atom 1.60Ghz 1gb ram This is very annoying and it has been doing it since it was installed so I believe it is the computer not the modem cause the lights still stay on when I drop connection

Is this the only PC that has the problem?
Check for an updated driver for your wireless adapter, You can get this from this from the manufacturer website.
Try changing the wireless channel on the router.

No My wii thats on the wireless is doing it as well.... I also Updated my wireless card driver last night problem still continues the modem has done this for a week now I called qwest and had them send me a new modem incase that was the issue I should get it thursday afternoon. How do I go about changing the wireless channel on actiontek pk5000

First you have to login to the PK5000

While connected to the wireless from the laptop follow these steps.

1.Open Browser (IE,Firefox,ect)
2.In the address bar go to http://192.168.0.1
3.Once you get to the Admin page go to Wireless Setup tab

There you should be able to make changes to the wireless

Since you are having the problem with another wireless device then the issue is most likely with the wireless router or signal. After changing the channel see what happens with the replacement modem form the ISP.

I switched it from auto detect to channel 11 So I shall see if that changes anything between now and tomorrow when I receive my new modem
