Display goes black at logon screen - HP dv6000

Hi people,
I tried searching the forum but since nothing I found actually resembled the problem I'm having I decided to start a new thread.
I have a dv6000 series laptop and whenever I try to start windows normally, the screen goes black seconds after the logon screen comes up! It doesn't do this whenever I start it in safe mode and I have also tried to use the "last known good configuration" and start in lower resolution to no avail.... Any ideas or suggestions? If you need any other info, let me know! Thanks!

This is being looked at by Microsoft in the meantime , try this:

Hit cntrl + alt+ del at the same time to bring up task manager
Then select explorer.exe and end process by right clicking and hitting end
Then select from top Run and type in explorer.exe

Try to run Malwarebytes and doing a system restore for a long term fix , if this doesnt work keep checking here and I will keep a eye on this issue.

This is a temp fix , I have 3 computer running Windows 7 doing this at the moment and my clients as myself are frustrated.
