Unknown Virus, possibly bootkit

Ok, I've had an annoying problem with my computer and it gets more annoying since I couldn't get the OTL to work and log what it needed to. What is happening (as far as I can tell) is that after I boot up and get working on something, the internet (google chrome is what I use) opens on its own and opens multiple ad pages. Of course they open so quick you can't close them fast enough and pretty much renders the computer unusable. I would like to fix this rather than wipe her clean and start over. I have everything backed up if needed so I'm not afraid of that. Where to start? Oh and I've tried Avast, Malwarebyte and several others with no success.
