Am Andrew and am new here.
my question goes this way.I have four computers,
I have instal firefox throthling on my systems to limit my bandwith in each system.
I have check my speed using a speed test and i discovers that i always get 0.13mbps as download and and 0.5mbps as upload.I want to share this bandwith on each system using FIREFOX THROTHLING so each system could not use more than the bandwith i got from my speed test.Am using a broadband wireless router.Can anyone have any idea what value or banwith limit i can put on my FIREFOX THROTHLING.

The bandwidth you measured is between your router and your ISP. That's the maximum speed available to you.

The bankdwidth will be shared among your computers. The router takes care of that. None of the computers will work faster than your measured download speed. In fact, if each are in use, depending on what they are doing, you may see your speed to an individual computer slow down.

For instance, if one computer is downloading a movie from iTunes, it'll be taking up a good deal of bandwidth. The other machines will probably slow down.

From what I've read, the Firefox Throttling plug in is used to put a cap on your speed. It can be set to limit the speed for a single computer. The only reason I can see for using it is to limit some machines from eating up bandwidth so that other machines can take full advantage of your bandwidth.

I haven't worked with the throlling. I suspect that each situation is unique. Are you having any problems currently? I suggest that you try some settings until you find what works well for you.

Hopefully someone else here has worked with throttling and can offer better advice.
