Thanks, GeekPolice! I somehow got this infection and have been working for days to resolve it. I did have to run Malware Anti twice, but it finally cleared up this mess. Thanks again for being there!

Any ideas where this comes from? At least once a month I need to remove this (or the Antivirus 2010 virus) from a client's computer. The owner of the store spends all day looking at porn, but doesn't know enough to keep himself from getting infected. I have them set up with Microsoft Security Essentials, but that seems to be ineffective against this breed of malware. Any tips on preventing it from coming back? Thanks for the great post, btw.

I ran Hit Man Pro, then Malwarebytes, then Superantispyware. Each one nabbed a few of the viruses. It appears to no longer be on my computer, but all the icons on my desktop are missing. My wallpaper turned blue. All my programs and files are not visible. How do I fix this?

My computer is running XP.
