Open Office Calc

My OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I've 2 Gig's of RAM and an Intel dual core processor.
I have had Open Office Suite on my machine for some time.
Recently I downloaded and began working with a large data file.. 5,399 kb's.. It has brought my machine to an agonizing grinding halt... The worst part is that Open Office keeps not responding about half way through loading the file... I've shut down everything in the background... Any idea's as to what might be the problem..??

• Click on "Fix Checked" button.
  

After that, follow next procedure.

• Please open Notepad and paste following:
  

• Go to File > Save As > Save to your Desktop as fix.bat
  
• Double click on fix.bat and Command Prompt will open for second, and close after that. That's normal procedure.
  

After this steps, please restart your computer and try OpenOffice Calc again.

If you still have problem, i'll have to send you to Virus,Spyware and Malware Removal forum for cleaning your computer.

Just completed the recommended corrections with no success.
Willing to do the Virus,Spyware and Malware.... Have already done that, but willing to give it another go..
What I'm experiencing is the large file starts to load.
The green bars go across the bottom of the page at a good pace for one pass.. Then the second pass starts and it gets about 1/3 rd across and stops... I open the task mgr. after a few moments and it says not responding....

Yeah, i know what problem you got, but i think it's not OpenOffice problem, because i can open file larger than 7 Mb with no problem.

Slowing down your computer may be caused by malware or something else, i can't figure what, but in Hijackthis log you have few strange objects. Better use Virus, Spyware and Malware forum.

Anyway, 5 Mb file for Open Office with 2GB of RAM should be easy to open, and you can't, it's a problem.

Can you open some other files ? Like 1 Mb or 500 Kb ? If you can't, than you should reinstall OpenOffice.
