This is a question in regards to keyboard key replacement- i'm not sure if this is even something you guys deal with, but GeekPolice has always been my go-to for sound, reliable advice, and I'm not sure who else to ask-

I picked up a laptop recently that is in perfect condition, aside from the keyboard. The former owner burned several keys with a cigarette (?!), and they need replacing. I was told several times that this required replaceing the whole face, but fortunately, I located some sellers online who sell individual keys with the clips & springs.

The caveat being, the laptop I bought is a Compaq Presario CQ61. The seller I spoke with wants to sell me keys from a Compaq Presario CQ60.

I couldn't care less about the aesthetics- all I am concerned with is making the keys functional again. This is probably a really ridiculous question, but I just wanted to be sure the CQ60 keys would fit this one (i did send photo's of the keyboard to the seller)~ and to hear from someone other than the seller, that says yes, they'll fit.

If anyone knows, I would be greatly obliged Smile...

If it helps, I uploaded the images of the keyboard to photobucket~ these are the direct links to them:
