There's problem with start up in my laptop, it just happened today.
I don't know what might have caused it but it might be due to the software I just installed, ASO(Advanced System Optimizer).
I just did a few optimizing and this happened when I restarted the laptop.

Firstly, an error comes up.

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software changed might be the cause.
There were 2 choices available ; Launch Startup Repair or Start Windows Normally.

Well, I tried both options and none could solve this problem.
Launching the Startup Repair lead me to now where. It either ends up in a totally black screen or there would be just the windows 7 theme wallpaper(the blue one) without any pop up windows, just empty.

When I tried to start Windows normally, it couldn't load up to Windows, there was a blue screen error but I couldn't read it in time because it immediately restarted.

I tried putting in the Windows 7 cd but it didn't work, I tried to repair computer and the same problem came out just like the Startup Repair, just an empty screen with Windows 7 wallpaper theme. I waited for an hour or so and nothing happened.
I even tried to install Windows 7 again but I couldn't even enter the setup. It kept on loading the setup but it eventually loads only, I couldn't do anything but wait!

Can anyone help me with this, I'm so lost right now. I couldn't even reformat the laptop as there's important data that I need from the laptop.
Oh my god, will someone please help me?

DragonMaster Jay, thanks for the greetings =)
I checked the diagnostics in the BIOS, it seems that there was a problem with my HDD,a major one I suppose..
Sob, I think I'm going to lose all my data.
Is there a way for me to extract the data?

Hello,

But the Windows 7 disk and make sure you run the http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html atleast 5 to 6 times. Then you mentioned that it reached the Wallpaper then you don't see anything so try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and launch Task Manager then go to File > Run > Explorer.exe and Press OK. See if that loads your Desktop.

If that fails then see if you can login to Safe Mode and there create a New Windows User / Profile and go back to Normal Mode and see if that loads your Desktop. If that loads then go to and run SFC SCANNOW http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

If you got to your Desktop then you to C:\Windows\Minidump there you'll find few files Zip it and upload it there.
