Hi,
I have a couple of questions regarding this.
I have a Windows server 2008 system running which I use as a file server, web server, ftp server and a couple of other things. I'm an IT student using the software from a license for learning purposes.
I have installed Windows defender and clamwin, and set them to run scheduled scans early in the morning once a week (clamwin monday at 3am and Windows Defender tuesday 3am). From my research, its best practice to leave the server logged off when not using it. I have set a couple of other programs to run as services which works fine, however, clamwin won't run as a service.
My Question is:
Does windows defender run scheduled scans if no one is logged in, and if not, how can I do this? The same goes with windows update, will updates install if no one is logged in?
Thanks! :smile2:
