virus? somehintg is creating a file called S8Fj2n24.exe

I have a problem. Something is creating an .exe file that wants to inject a dll into other programs. I also occasionally have firefox opening pages.

I tried to install the latest version of adobe but something prevented it from installing. I get an error code 1402 "could not open key" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponent\MSFS the program will continue to install until it almost finished and writing registry values and once again I get and error code 1402 saying I dont have access to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponent\IMAIL

and when I tried going to the site about updating windows it could not be found.

I also tried to run OTL but I keep getting an OK message box saying "invalid variant type conversion" while the program is Checking the SRService service.

I have tried running Search and destroy and malware to no avail.

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
