Google's tablet PC, which will run its Chrome OS and is designed to rival Apple's iPad, could hit US shelves in time for Christmas.

According to a report by tech website DownloadSquad an unnamed source said the tablet PC will make its debut on November 26, which is also "Black Friday" -- the day after Thanksgiving and traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S.

The website didn't offer any details on whether the device would be made available in the U.K.or other international markets.

The tablet, which was confirmed by Verizon earlier this year, is expected to be manufactured by HTC, which previously worked with Google on its Nexus One smartphone.
