Upload increase X10 with ADSL 2+

Since I changed my internet plan to adsl 2+ from adsl, my uploads have gone from 1Gb per month to 12GB per month. I am sure it would have been more but my access was limited to dial up speed for the last 2 weeks of last month. Is this a common problem and how do I fix it? It is the only thing on our home network which has changed.

Hi, i don't see bad point of this changes. You have better upload rate than before, what is bad news ?

Hello, The rate isn't the problem - we didn't actually upload anything. 12GB of phantom uploads is the problem. I was wondering if it is was a virus copying our hard drive to the internet over and over or is there some kind of "white noise" which registers as uploaded information which is using up my usage allowance. I only have 25GB of usage per month before it is slowed to dial up speed.
