Wirless card (netgear) was installed on a computer now others won't connect

HI: A friend came over and hooked up my moms computer and installed a wireless card for internet connection.

Her computer works and connects fine now but my other dell desktop running windows 98 and my laptop vista won't connect. It keeps asking for a password and the guy insists that he did not give her wireless card a password. Oh it also changed the name of my network home as well. I normally can fix these issues but it seems I'm loosing this battle this time. Anybody know or experience this before?

Do you know the router settings for what type of network it is: a, b, or g?

This will matter, as all three network cards/adapters must be compatible with the router.

I just called the person who connected my moms card and he said it was G. Both of my other computers hooked up just fine before he hooked that one up. I can't even print now. Thanks for any help in advance.
