The computer is showing pop ups saying that it is infected with BankerA and Win32/Nugel.E

It asks you to click here to protect your computer from the attack. It also will not allow any internet access.

This is the second straight computer in two days that has been infected this way. It is being used by one of my employees. This is the result from the second computer. The employee has a hotmail account but had only opened two e-mails that were just plain conversational text from family members. The only web sites visited were Hotmail and General Motors secure web sites.

******My supervisor decided to fully reformat the hard drive. He apparently wasn't concerned with wiping out everything on the computer. I'm guessing he is going to do the same on both computers.

This is a great web site. I'm sure I will use it again in the future. Thanks for the very unselfish assistance you guys provide!

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.
