Popular tech news website IT World has claimed that software maker Adobe is going to sue Apple Inc. 'within a few weeks' after the latter banned its developers from using Adobe software for developing applications for Apple's newly launched iPhone OS 4.0 SDK.

Citing sources familiar with the matter, IT World said that a lawsuit is being formulated by the owner of Flash and the PDF technology in order get back at Apple for mounting what seems to be an anti-Adobe agenda.

It all started when Apple banned Adobe Flash player platform from its popular iPhone smartphone and its recently launched iPad tablet device. Apple went a bit further when it banned every Adobe software from being used on the iPhone 4.0 OS, which will include Apple's iAd mobile ad platform.
