Cant connect to wireless router

I cant seem to connect to wireless router at my step-daughters house. Everyone has no problem. I have the correct password. I click on connect to. The wireless connection is found. I click to connect. It asks for password. I type it in. Its all numbers. It says connection is taking longer than usual. Than says its connected with fair signal stength. I have Vista and use firefox. Can someone please give me some directions?

Try using the vista repair wizard by clicking right mouse button on the bottom left corner GREEN FOUR BAR wireless icon, select diagnose and should fix the issue by resetting your adapter or renewing your IP!
