I want it ALL gone; Cleaning Hard Drive

OK, my computer has 93GB of storage, but I only have 7GB left! I just Re-Installed Vista TWICE,,,so it's on here 3 times; only need the last one. When re-installing Vista, it said that my previous files are in a Folder called "Windows.old," yet I CANNOT find this folder.

I want my C and E drives WIPED CLEAN,,,,,,how???

Yes, I know how to re-install Vista, however, what I need to do is free up all of this space. Is there a better, more efficient, permanent way to get rid of the old files other than just placing them in Recycle Bin?

Let's take a look at the C and E drives here:

Please open Notepad and enter in the following:

Then, click File > Save as...
Save as file.bat to your Desktop.
Choose Save as type... All Files.
Click Save.

Then, exit Notepad.

Double-click on file.bat, and it will finish quickly and launch a log.

Ok. Let's try this.

Click Start and search in the search box: Run

then you will see a result in the results pane, click on Run.

Copy and paste this in to the Run box and hit OK:

dir c:\/a:h > enum.txt && dir c:\ >> enum.txt && start enum.txt

It should launch a log. Post the contents of that in your next reply.

I received a red circle/white x box stating that Windows cannot find "dir,"and to please make sure I typed it correctly.

I simply copied and pasted EXACTLY what you typed in bold.

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.
Please close all other applications running on your system.

Please double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it.

Click the Settings button.



Set it to Maximum



IMPORTANT! Then please click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.


Click Create Report to run it.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop. Please upload the folder to Kaspersky GSI Parser and click the Submit button.

Please copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report (not the log) in your next reply.
