I had a tricky virus/malware issue that Chiaz helped me clear up, but at some point during that process, my PC wasn't able to connect to the internet anymore.
When I go into my modem settings, it says I'm connected (all the icons in my network connections say the same thing as well), but when I try to do anything involving the internet, my PC can't connect. Verizon sent me a new modem, and that hasn't worked either. The PC I'm on currently is connected via my wireless router, so that still seems to be working at least... I tried using the Verizon modem installation CD, and it wouldn't work because (1) it couldn't find the connected Westell modem, and (2) it needed to connect to the internet in order to even set up.
I've tried the netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh int ip reset reset.log fixes, as well as Winsock XP Fix, but they didn't fix this issue.
If viewing the logs from the whole virus/malware removal session that Chiaz helped me with would help at all, it can all be viewed here.
Thank you very much for your time in advance. :smile2:
