Downloads Deleted

Whenever I download a file with internet download manager, the file is moved to a temp folder and it cannot be opened.

What causes this??

It's a hidden folder.

Is there a setting that you can switch it to save to other folders?

it doesnt open when i try to open the file.

i noticed it is saved as a file extension

You have to rename the file with an extension, you probably downloaded it without an extension.

when i right click on it, it doesnt give me the option to rename.

Try selecting the file and hit F2. It should let you rename it.
