Hi all,
A friend of mine recently tried to download a driver from Belkin, the download box told her that it was going in c:users/temp or something like that (she was a bit vague about it). It then proceeded to download a 15meg. file, however she couldn't find the file anywhere. She asked me to take a look and although I had not seen windows 7 before I agreed. The strange thing was, not only had she not got a c:users/temp folder or file, I could not find a temp file anywhere!. Thinking that for some reason the files had been hidden I unlocked them - still nothing. The search function was no help as the only windows temp file it found was empty and didn't give any clues where to find it. Searching under the date she did the download still did not produce any result either. It is possible that it didn't download properly and has disappeared into the mysterious world of the computer, but even so where are the temp files and how do you find them?
Thanks in advance.

in windows 7 your temp folder should be
C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Temp
you need to enable show hidden files witch u can do by going in to folder options, then going to the view tab, then select show hidden files

I would also try a free program called CCleaner , it is a safe all in one utility I use on all my clients computers and cleans up everything from Temp files to all un-needed junk!
