I'm trying to help my sister with wuauclt.exe Sad tearing

I downloaded OTL & Icesword...put it on her ipod and connected it to her laptop. I have Icesword open and trying to locate the file I think I am supposed to be Terminating? (tuuhsftav.exe) but I cant find it. I am not sure what to do from here. Thank you in advance! Annnd I'm sure you probably need her hijackthis scan instead of mine which is below:(

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.

Thank you for responding...I tried to run OTL but it said "the application could not be executed. and that it was infected. do you want to activate your antivirus software now?" sooo then I tried to run IceSword. Hello.

  • Open IceSword again.
  • Go into the Process list again, and right click on the following filename:

    jhjxsftav.exe

  • Select Terminate Process.
  • Close IceSword

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)

Hi! I followed the instructions you gave. I was prompted to restart the computer. I clicked on the Malwarebyte's icon on desktop and it said "Application cannot be executed. The file mbam.exe is infected..... So.. I am not sure what to do now. Thank you so much for your help so far!

hi, I tried icesword again, deleted the file you said, and then opened malwarebytes sucessfully. i have the log:

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.
