Antivirus software alert

Well since yesterday I've been getting these infiltration alerts, and security warnings
and now when i try to open anything a pop up tells me that the file I've tried to open
is infected and also internet explorer seems to keep opening up to a viagra site
not only that but there is this green shield that has not been in my start up bar bar
that has a check mark in it and when you do click on it it opens up a anti virus window
which i know is fake.
Ive tried running malwarebytes, but it says i don't have anything, most likely because i
have not updated it, and when i do try to update it nothing happens it just says trying to connect
with malwarebytes.org(by the way does it matter if i downloaded the free version?? can i still update???)

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

alright well i managed to update my anitvirus(mcafee)
and it picked up two viruses, but i don't know if these were the ones affecting my computer
it says it has quarantined two items

To remove all of the tools we used and the files and folders they created do the following:
Double click OTL.exe.

• Click the CleanUp! button.
  
• Select Yes when the "Begin cleanup Process?" prompt appears.
  
• If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes.
  
• The tool will delete itself once it finishes.

How is the machine running now?

its running good, but now something else has happened
when my antivirus tries to download an update it doesn't do it
and also i have itunes on my computer. When i try to connect that
to the internet to go to the itunes store it also doesn't let me do it
and when i try to upload stuff onto something like photobucket it also
wont let me
what do you think is the problem?????

For those programs that don't work, I would try uninstalling, then re-installing them, some malware can mess with programs - especially an antivirus program.
