Vista Start up Freeze...

Ok, so this morning I get up and my power supply in my Dell Desktop had crashed. So, I rush out and get a new one and install it. Got on the computer and started working for about 3 hours, then the whole computer froze requiring a hard boot. Once restarted, it would come up with the windows loading bar at the bottom of the screen and then freeze on a black screen.

I have tried:
1. Checking to make sure all was plugged in correctly from new power supply.
2. Rebooting to run the startup repair where it told me that it could not solve the problem
3. Then I did the restore to factory settings and that said that it completed successfull, but when it rebooted itself, it still froze.

Please help.

You may have bought a power supply which is not powerful enough for your computer. What is the number of watts for the old and new power supply?

The old power supply was 300W and the new one is 400W.

I could not get it restored to factory settings, but I was able to wipe Vista off and reinstall it. Everything appeared to work perfectly, but when I was installing the drivers the comp would need to restart to finish install and again it would freeze on start up.

Thank you for your help. It turns out that it was my graphics card. Once I installed a new one all is working fine again.
