I finally got the Realtek driver (high definition audio) installed and now it has the yellow ! next to it in the device manager, and I'm getting a code 10. I right-clicked, updated the driver software, and rebooted per instructions. It still has the yellow mark next to it and now when I right-click, it says my driver definitions are current.

I'm running Vista on an HP Pavilion DV9810 and I've been without sound for two weeks. Please help!! Sad tearing

Hello,

Install the HP drivers instead. Find your PC here and download the drivers:

I downloaded and installed the drivers from the above website. It shows everything is working properly, but I still have no sound. If I test them, it says the speakers are working, but are not. I do have sound with a headset plugged in.

Hello,

Then I don't think it's anything to do with the driver, your speaker is faulty. Could you try another set of speakers and see if it works?
